Due to an increase in parcel deliveries and social distancing measures at Australia Post sorting facilities, we are seeing Express Post delivery time frames increase by a day or so. Where possible, we would be grateful if you could please allow extra time for your delivery and order ahead of time. While we will do our best to arrange delivery on a specific date if requested, unfortunately we are unable to guarantee this as Australia Post has now removed their Express Post Guarantee due to the impact of COVID-19 on their delivery capability. Because of this, we are only able to aim for a specific date – we cannot ensure it arrives then. We know how disappointing missing an important date can be, so we thank you for your patience and understanding at this very unusual time.
Who will deliver my gift hamper?
We use Australia Post (Express Post) to deliver our gift hampers across Australia. For bulk orders, we use either Couriers Please, Fastway or Australia Post (Standard), depending on shipping quantity and location.
How much is shipping?
For individual orders, shipping is a flat rate of $10.00 per gift hamper to Australian addresses. For bulk orders, please contact hello@giftboss.com.au for a quote.
When will my gift hamper be dispatched?
Unless you have requested a specific delivery date in your order note (when you place your order), all orders received before 1pm (Sydney time) Monday to Friday (excluding NSW public holidays) will be dispatched the same day.
When will my gift hamper arrive?
If your order is received by 1pm (Sydney time) Monday to Friday (excluding NSW public holidays), your gift hamper will be delivered in 1 to 2 business days if the delivery location is within Australia Post’s Express Post network.
If you require fast delivery, please check to see if the delivery location is within Australia Post’s Express Post network before placing your order, as 20% of Australian addresses fall outside this network.
If the delivery location is outside of this network, your order will still be sent via Express Post as this ensures it will be delivered as quickly as possible – but it may take an extra day or two.
Please note: Large organisations (e.g. hospitals, banks, corporate offices etc) may take a while to distribute deliveries once they are received by their mail room or post box. Unfortunately, we have no control over this, so please keep this in mind if you require a specific delivery date.
When are gift hampers able to be delivered?
Gift hamper delivery is made during business hours, Monday to Friday. Sorry, we can’t deliver on public holidays or weekends.
Can I request a specific delivery date?
While we will do our best to arrange delivery on a specific date if requested, unfortunately we are unable to guarantee this as Australia Post has now removed their Express Post Guarantee due to the impact of COVID-19 on their delivery capability. Because of this, we are only able to aim for a specific date – we cannot ensure it arrives then. We know how disappointing missing an important date can be, so we thank you for your patience and understanding at this very unusual time. Where possible, we encourage you to allow extra time for delivery to avoid disappointment. If you would like to nominate a date for us to aim for, just add this to the order note (when you place your order) and we will do our best to accommodate.
What if no one is available to receive the gift hamper?
All our gift hampers have ‘Authority To Leave’ and do not require a signature.
If there is no one available to receive the gift hamper, it will either be left in a safe place, or a card will be left, and the gift hamper can be picked up from the nearest Post Office within two weeks. This is the safest delivery option for apartments or locations where there is no one there during business hours and there is no safe place to leave the gift hamper.
Will I receive tracking details?
Yes, tracking details will be sent to you by email once the gift hamper has been lodged at Australia Post so you can track its progress. You will also receive an email when your gift hamper has been delivered. These emails will come from Australia Post, rather than Gift Boss. Please note that we have received feedback that the tracking emails from Australia Post don’t always come through. If you don’t receive one, please send us an email so we can provide you with the tracking information directly.
Can I request a specific delivery time, or that the driver calls on arrival?
Unfortunately we cannot request specific delivery times, or that the driver calls on arrival.
Do you deliver gift hampers to hospitals?
Yes, we can deliver gift hampers to hospitals, but please be aware of the following:
- Our most common delivery issue is that the gift recipient checks out of the hospital before the gift hamper is received. Although we do our best to get the gift hamper to the hospital as quickly as possible, it can take a couple of days for the hospital mail room to distribute deliveries. Therefore, please only order a hospital delivery if you know that the recipient will be in hospital for at least THREE business days after you place the order. If you are unsure about this, it’s safer to send the gift hamper to a relative or friend who can bring it with them to the hospital, or to the recipient’s home address so it’s waiting for them when they return.
- If you wish to proceed with a hospital delivery, please provide the gift recipient’s Room number and Ward number to avoid a processing delay within the hospital.
- If the gift recipient does check out prior to the gift hamper being received, please contact the hospital directly and ask if they can arrange a pick up, or forward it to their home address.
Do you deliver gift hampers to PO boxes?
Yes, our gift hampers can be safely delivered to PO boxes.
What if my gift hamper arrives late?
While we endeavour to ship your gift hamper promptly, we cannot be held liable for delivery outside of anticipated delivery time frames as delivery is managed by a third party provider. Refunds will not be given for late delivery. If your order is not received within the anticipated time frame, please contact Australia Post with your tracking number, or you can also contact us at hello@giftboss.com.au and we will follow up.
Please note: Gift hampers that are returned to Gift Boss due to incorrect address or failure to collect will incur a re-shipping fee.
